GLASGOW INNER RING ROAD FILM

(FILMED 1974)

In mid-2018, we unearthed a film of the north and west flanks of the Glasgow Inner Ring Road as it looked in 1974.

The footage was taken by John Cullen shortly after completion of the Charing Cross contract. The film is special in that it shows each end of the motorway before it was extended to Hillington & Baillieston.

We've made the entire ten minute film available to view on our YouTube channel. Alternatively, you can watch it in the viewer opposite.
